This Policy explains what data GEETUN collects, why, and how it is protected — particularly important given that student accounts are typically used by minors.
Parent accounts: email, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and billing information (handled by our payment provider, not stored directly by GEETUN). Student accounts: display name and grade level only — we intentionally do not collect a student's own email or contact details, since parent accounts manage that relationship. We also collect usage data: lesson progress, quiz results, and AI Tutor conversation history scoped to each lesson.
GEETUN is designed for use by minors under parental supervision. A parent account is required to create or link a student account, and parents can view their child's progress at any time. We minimize data collected directly from students and do not knowingly collect data from a student account that isn't linked to a parent.
We use collected data to operate the Service: tracking lesson progress, generating the Dashboard's recommendations, powering the AI Tutor (scoped to the current lesson only), processing payments, and sending parents their weekly progress summary.
We retain account and progress data for as long as an account is active. Parents may request export or deletion of their family's data at any time; deletion requests are handled manually while this process is still early-stage (see Contact below).
Passwords are hashed with argon2. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to student data by GEETUN staff for support purposes is logged in an audit trail.
Parents can access, correct, or request deletion of their family's data by contacting us. We aim to respond to any such request promptly.
We may update this Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated to parent accounts before they take effect.
Questions about this Policy or data requests can be sent through the contact form on our About page.
